About

Dr. Ritika Sahu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Archaeology, Cotton University, Assam. Prior to joining Cotton University, she taught at Miranda House, Ramanujan, Desbandhu and Maiteyi Colleges under University of Delhi.She was the ECR (Early Career Researcher), Re-writing World Archaeology Programme: Dialogues in the Global South, Department of Archaeology, Durham University, (funded by British Academy), South Asia division for the year 2021- 2022. She has completed her Ph.D., from Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. Her work focusses on the intersection of material remain, its association with memory and identity creation in modern times. Her area of interest lies in Archaeology of South Asia- particularly North-Eastern region of India, Heritage-making and Pubic Spaces.
